In the heart of the Venosta Valley, in the sunny Laudes, a hamlet of Malles, on the boundary with South Tyrol, Switzerland and Austria, is located this old Ladin house. It was built in 1582 and wisely renovated in 2009/2010, combining art and functionality, design and comfort, tradition and innovation. Crossing the main entrance, the large atrium immediately appears with the work of the well-known artist Esther Stocker, who enjoys decorating a functional space such as a wardrobe and a bathroom with her very recognizable geometric style, transforming it into a true work of art. On the same level we find the Room Stube, with the magnificent traditional majolica stove, inserted in an environment rich in details such as the Bow-Window and the characteristic wooden boiserie, next to it the kitchen with fireplace, it has been recovered from the ancient space of the speck smoking, the vaulted ceiling has been painted black, remembering the ancient soot, the living-dining room overlooks directly the beautiful garden through the balcony, south-east oriented.
The original stairs leads us to the first floor, the sleeping quarters, where in the common environment, have been inserted fireplace and library, creating a delightful relax area that connects all the rooms. The beautiful master bedroom that is treated in every detail, is composed by a wardrobe and en suite bathroom, the two double bedrooms with the loft sleeping area and their bathroom reference. A beautiful wooden ladder leads to the attic floor, where we find a twin room with the original exposed wooden beams with en suite bathroom. The basement is also a real apartment, here is in fact placed another kitchen used in the summer season, has been recovered another living room with living and dining room, a studio-room, a bathroom, a small laundry and a ski storage room, convertible into a sauna. Even here the connecting space has its own personality and is used as a hobby space, as well as a connection to the street outside through a French door.
The garden is accessible from the living space, outside the beautiful wooden terrace hides below the technical room. In the Upper Venosta Valley, Laudes preserves the charm of the mountains, it is a place where you can still appreciate the silence, away from the traffic. Its characteristic is the wide panorama, a plateau at high altitude where the view extends all around; however, in less than half an hour by car you can reach the wonderful ski resorts of Belpiano, Ortler and Solda, in the heart of the Stelvio Park.
