Location
The village of Grangesises is just a 5-minute drive from the resort of Sestriere. The village has very little motor traffic and is ideal for children and families, who can enjoy the piazza with its restaurants and cafés and the charming, cobbled streets.
Nearby Sestriere has a lot to offer. In the winter months, the slopes around the resort suit skiers and snowboarders of all levels. There is cross-country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snowshoeing. There is even an outdoor swimming pool (heated) which is open in the winter and summer seasons.

During the summer months, Grangesises and its surroundings offer visitors a rich programme of entertainment, cultural and sports events for adults and children. History lovers should not miss the re-enactment of the battle of Assietta in July and the guided visits to the Fortress of Fenestrelle and the Chaberton museum in Claviere.
