2 Bedroom Apartment in Santa Veneranda, Pesaro
Charming agriturismo with a shared pool, a small chapel and panoramic views
The old, completely renovated, 17th-century villa of this agriturismo is located on the rolling, green hills of Pesaro, amidst olive groves, fields, pine forests, oaks and laurels, and affords a beautiful view of the magnificent surroundings.
What were once the hay barn, the stables, the tower and the residential house of the farm were converted into cosy holiday apartments in 2009, where you can spend a relaxing nature or beach holiday. Guests feel very much at home due to the original architectural features, with exposed ceiling beams, floors with clay tiles, and uneven walls.
On the site, apart from the main building, there is an annex and even a small chapel. A particularly attractive feature for holiday-makers is the pool, which even has a small hydro-massage area and several sun loungers and lounge furniture on the surrounding lawn.
The owners will welcome you very cordially and will be happy to provide you with advice and information about the area.
The town of Pesaro is about 2.5km away, and the sea is only around 7km away. The agriturismo therefore enables you to combine a seaside holiday with a cultural holiday, owing to its proximity to places of cultural and historical interest, such as Urbino, Gradara, Fano or San Leo.
The two-room apartment is located inside the Pignocco Country House, an 18th-century farmhouse that has been finely restored and converted into non-hotel accommodation. Nestled in the Marche hills, just 5 km from the historic centre of Pesaro and the sea, it is the ideal place for a holiday among nature, sea and culture, with the possibility of visiting the main historical and artistic locations in the province of Pesaro Urbino.
The farmhouse, purchased by the grandfather in 1952 and for a long time the family's country residence, has been carefully restored and converted into cosy holiday flats, furnished with furniture restored directly by the owners or custom-made by local craftsmen. Surrounding the property is a large garden enriched with pines, cypresses, laurels and wild vegetation, providing an authentic and relaxing atmosphere. There is a summer swimming pool immersed in a centuries-old olive grove, equipped with deckchairs and sunbeds, perfect for regenerating yourself on hot days. Outdoor areas with barbecues and garden tables complete the experience, ideal for pleasant convivial moments in the open air.
The two-room flat, located on the ground floor of the old barn, consists of two main rooms and is tastefully furnished, retaining some original details. The first room is used as a living area, with a country-style kitchen, a wooden and crystal dining table and a cosy sleeping corner with a double bed set under a built-in wardrobe. The second room is a real double bedroom, reached by passing through a door and up three steps, designed to provide additional privacy and comfort. There are also two bathrooms, practical and functional, making the flat ideal for two couples or a family. A window with original masonry grilles, once used to ventilate the grain, now provides an evocative play of light and shade. Delicate furnishings with matching fabrics and antique chandeliers create a harmonious atmosphere. Outside, a charming relaxation area under a centuries-old olive tree invites you to sip an aperitif or dine with family or friends, making every stay an unforgettable experience.
The flat is located in a quiet and familiar environment, ideal for those who want a relaxing holiday. The nights are quiet and guarantee a peaceful rest, while a rich breakfast can be booked in the morning. There is also a tourist information point available for guests, useful for discovering the beauty of the area. The owners, resident in the structure, offer a discreet but always available presence for any need.
In the surrounding area you can visit the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park, which offers scenic trails, bicycle and e-bike paths and viewpoints overlooking the sea. There are also Villa Caprile, with its water games in the Italian-style gardens; Villa Imperiale, a Renaissance jewel; Fiorenzuola di Focara, a medieval village overlooking the sea; the spectacular Furlo Gorge, the most famous canyon in the Marche; Gradara, with its castle and the legend of Paolo and Francesca; Urbino, the city of Raphael and UNESCO World Heritage site; Mondavio, among the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy.
