Positive: This small apartment is tastefully decorated and fully furnished with all kinds of conveniences for travelers. It exceeded our expectations. We were only overnight and did not use the kitchen but it looked well stocked with equipment, also there is a washing machine, ironing board and iron. It was very clean. The sofa and bed are comfortable. The host has left LOTS of information for travelers including a map of the historic area of Trapani and other brochures & maps on the greater area, information on ferries, parking, restaurants… The location is on the edge of the historic district and near the ferry port. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and easy walking to enjoy the historic district attractions. You enter the apartment from the street directly into the living room (ground floor). We felt safe walking around but of course it’s a city so you keep your eyes open. The host was easy to communicate with, responsive, and helpful. Kindly, he texted us in English. Thank you! The host texted a map in advance which clearly showed the streets with free parking, resident only parking and paid parking. We were able to use the closest free parking for 1 night which was about 3-5 min walk to the apt. However on both sides of that street there were signs stating that street cleaning happens 5:30-8:30 am from Mon-Thurs (one side) or Tues-Fri. (other side). Although honestly it didn’t look like the street had been cleaned in months (there was a lot of trash and debris), we wouldn’t take a chance to park there overnight on those days. The other free parking is a couple more streets away, we didn’t go there. I don’t know if you can park overnight on the paid parking streets (pay with an app or at the machine). There is a parking garage in the port area called Multipiano. It’s further to the apt. We left our car there to go to the Egadi Islands. It’s EUR 10/day after 1 Oct but EUR 25/day before that (high season).

Negative: We liked this apartment and highly recommend it and would love to return! Having said that, it’s important to understand the parking. You may be able to park for free, as we did, but I’m not sure it always works. Ask the host. Also the listing on Booking.com has a couple of inaccuracies. This apt. is listed as beachfront; it is not. Also the listing says “Convenience store on site” but there is no store “on site” - there will be a place close by for convenience items, I’m sure. I assume these inaccuracies are someone’s clerical error.

Summary: Highly recommend this clean & comfortable apt - the host has thought of everything!
