A charming, ancient tower house, for 5 people, in the heart of one of Umbria’s most beautiful towns, this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy la dolce vita.
Laid out over 3 floors, the interior of the house has been beautifully restored with traditional terracotta tiled floors. The first floor includes an open-plan living/dining room with arched windows overlooking the street. The sitting area has an open fireplace, two sofas, and a Smart TV. The dining table for 4 people is next to an antique wooden dresser. The separate kitchen is tucked away at the far end of the room. It is equipped with a cooker hob and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and coffee machine.
The three bedrooms are on the upper floors. The staircase leads up to a stunning roof terrace with a table and chairs. Here guests can relax and look at the 360° view across the Umbrian countryside. The house also has a smaller terrace off the second floor. This terrace has sun loungers for guests’ use.

Location
The town of Spello is one of Umbria’s best-kept secrets. If you look carefully, you can see traces of the town’s Roman past in the stonework of the Medieval buildings. Built on the hillside overlooking the Valle Umbra, Spello is an ideal base for visitors to explore the more famous sites of Umbria. Spello is known for its flower festival. Dating back to the 17th century, the “Infloriata”, takes place in early June. The town looks absolutely stunning as it is carpeted with flowers.
Assisi, with its famous cathedrals and shrines to St Francis, is just 20 minutes away by car. The stunning city of Perugia is a 30-minute drive. The town of Montefalco (30 minutes) is famous for its fine red wines. Visitors will find many different vineyards where they can try the wine and buy directly from the producers.
For self-catering, Spello’s weekly market takes place every Wednesday morning. Here you can find everything from food and flowers to clothes and handbags. There is also a supermarket a few minutes from the main town gates.
