My simple house can be your low budget way to explore the beauty of Sicily, or a very affordable vacation if you just want to experience the peaceful life of a Sicilian village for a month. The house consists of three rooms + bathroom. The downstairs room has its own entrance, so the guests can have privacy from each other if needed. Sofabed downstairs and double bed upstairs. This area of town is quiet and calm at night, so sleep won't be disturbed. Wonderful beach nearby (Eraclea Minoa) with a great restaurant, outdoor showers, boat rentals, and a pine forest that comes right to the edge of the sand for those of us who burn almost immediately (like me). UPDATE-Eraclea Minoa has suffered serious erosion, sadly. Restaurant is still hanging on and great food. The bathroom is on the second floor, so please look elsewhere if you have difficulty using stairs. There are some low doorways; tall people will need to watch their heads on part of the staircase and the doorway from the downstairs room. The bathroom has no sink, the kitchen is just outside the bathroom door though. Please smoke on the balcony only and don't toss butts to the street, use an ashtray. Also please don't spit from the balcony. Parking in front of the house is almost always available, should you drive. My house is simple, but the price reflects the simple offerings it provides. Be aware there are fans for cooling the house, no AC.
