In meno di 45 minuti di auto è possibile raggiungere Lecce (sito Unesco), Otranto, Gallipoli e i tanti piccoli paesi dell'entroterra, ognuno con un castello o una chiesa da vedere. E' molto bello anche affittare una bicicletta e visitare la campagna: ci sono decine di chilometri di piccole strade dove le macchine non passano quasi mai. Se amate il mare, si affittano piccole barche a Castro Marina o a Santa Maria di Leuca. Tutto il Salento ha poi un'intensa attività culturale e di spettacoli serali.
