Villa La Gioia, an ancient country house with annex is located in the periphery of the charming village of Monte San Savino in a beautiful hill position. Both buildings as well as the garden offer a magnificent view on the surrounding countryside ... a quiet, unspoilt area in the heart of Tuscany. The loggia offers a splendid view on the Castle of Gargonza, where the poet Dante Alighieri wrote during his stay a part of his Divine Comedy “Divina Commedia”, whilst Florence was devastated by the plague.
Following a well-kept gravel road, passing by olive groves and stone walls you reach this beautiful property in a panoramic position. The approximately 8-acre of land which surround the villa include woodland, fruit orchards, olive groves, spacious green areas and a beautiful swimming pool with overflow. Despite the idyllic position of the villa, one reaches the picturesque town of Monte San Savino in about 15 minutes on foot, in about 8 minutes by bike or in only 2 minutes by car.
This medieval town offers numerous shops and services, supermarkets, ice-cream shops, bakeries, butcher shops, bicycle rental, fitness centre, post office, banks, restaurants, bars, antiquarian and ceramic shops etc.
During the renovation of this approx. 400 year old building, particular care was taken to the maintenance of the original building structure, thus the house enchants even today its guests with its former charm. The warm and natural colours of the cottage-style furnishings with some original furniture pieces contribute to a comfortable rustic living atmosphere.
INTERIORGround floor: straight from the entrance area you reach first of all the living room, right of which there are the dining room with fireplace and the kitchen (both with French doors leading onto the porch equipped for outdoor dining). Left from the living room there is a passage room with one single bed and access to one common bathroom with shower. Right from the entrance area a small corridor leads to one double bedroom.
First floor (with access either via an external stone staircase with small porch directly from the garden or via an internal staircase in the living room): central living / reading room with satellite-TV and access to the loggia, right of the living room there is a double bedroom with private bathroom with bath tub (with shower door), left of it there is a double bedroom (or twin on request) with private bathroom with shower.
A few meters from the main house there is a stone dependance with another double bedroom with one single bed, air conditioning, satellite TV and private bathroom with shower. Behind the dependence there is a clothesline which is anchored in the ground.

EXTERIORAround the villa extend approximately 8 acres of grounds with woodland, fruit orchards, olive groves, large green areas and a beautiful pool with overflow 6,5 x 15 m, depth: 1,40 m. Another outbuilding in front of the villa is suitable as a covered parking space.
Concatenated bushes and shrubs separate the Villa in a natural way from the pool area. Next to the pool, nestled in the protection of hedging plants there is a shade-giving gazebo with sun loungers and electricity connection. Despite the idyllic location of the villa you can reach the picturesque town of Monte San Savino in about 15 minutes walk or 2 minutes by car.
THE PRICE INCLUDES: electricity, water, gas for cooking purpose, bed linen and towels with weekly change, pool towels, internet Wi-Fi (2,5 giga / week), baby bed & high chair, pool- and garden maintenance, pool use from last Saturday in April to first Saturday in October
