Casa del Glicine is located in the historic center of Andrano, a town inserted in the Regional Natural Park of the Otranto coast - Santa Maria di Leuca - Bosco di Tricase. between two historic bastions of the coast: Torre del Serpe (to the north), an ancient lighthouse of Roman origin and the mighty lighthouse of Leuca (to the south), in that Finis terrae, where Italy ends and overlooking the open sea looks towards another continent. The Le Volte apartment is part of a residence consisting of a total of 3 apartments, one of which is inhabited by the owners. It is located on the ground floor, equipped with a living room with kitchenette and sofa bed, an independent bedroom and a complete bathroom with shower and washing machine. The two bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. The apartment is entirely furnished with period pieces and objects restored with patience and passion, in order to preserve as much as possible the charm of the traditional Salento house, without renouncing comfort and practicality. Upstairs there is a large terrace with a large table for aperitifs or dinners (there is also a barbecue) on cool summer evenings. A 5-minute drive takes you to the Adriatic coast with crystal clear waters, ideal for those who love the sea away from mass tourist flows. The closest sea is in a rocky stretch that does not lack various access points to the sea accessible even for those who are not used to rocks. Andrano has three marinas, all well served by car parks and bars, as well as a long pedestrian stretch for evening strolls or morning jogging. The renowned Grotta Verde also belongs to him, a suggestive cave that can be reached by swimming, but facing the beach. We are also on the route of the Via Francigena and in a central position with respect to the many excursion itineraries of the Natural Park which go from Otranto to Leuca. An ideal base for those who want to get to know the most authentic Salento, made up of nature, culture, traditions, local crafts and not just beaches and summer festivals.
