ABOUT THE PROPERTY
If you look for a home away from home, look no further, our home is your home! We are an Italian - Dutch family, living in the Netherlands. When we visit our family and friends in the prosecco region in Veneto, we also love visiting Venice to enjoy its atmosphere and art.
Built in 1863, this is a renovated property with all modern comforts, where authentic details have been retained. With traditional Venetian floor "terrazzo alla veneziana" and beamed ceiling, you will feel like living in the ninenteenth century.
Located on the second floor (a flight of stairs), it also has windows on both sides of the house, which is quite rare in Venice, letting in enough day light. As you enter the apartment, you will find the lounge and living area featuring a comfy sofa and a flat screen TV with Netflix and Prime. On your left you will enter a spacious fully equipped kitchen and from there you reach the bathroom and a double bedroom. On your right you will find the master bedroom with antique furnitures. Free WIFI (optical fiber, the fastest you can get), airco and washing machine are available.
Right behind the apartment you will find a nice little dock overlooking Canal Grande, where you can sit down and relax after a long day of walking and see the boats passing by.
NEIGHBOURHOOD
With the Fondamenta della Misericordia and the Fondamenta degli Ormesini just a few minutes away, you will be sure to enjoy your stay from your sunrise coffee, to your late-night drinks. This is by far the most popular area for Venetians to hang out and practice the art of "la dolce vita" by the canals. Your host can recommend you all her favourite spots for coffee, brunch, lunch, aperitivo, dinner and gelato, so you will be sure to experience the Venetian enogastonomic offer. You will be close to the Gran Canal, the ancient Jewish Ghetto, and the beautiful Fondamenta Nove where you will be able to go for a morning jog as you marvel at the sun rising on the Venetian lagoon.

It is very easy to reach our apartment. The best way to reach the apartment would be by foot (10 minutes walk from train station Venezia Santa Lucia). You can also take a boat to Guglie (3 minutes walk to apartment) or San Marcuola (2 minutes walk to apartment). If you arrive by plane, you can either catch a bus to the Venice bus station (20 minutes by bus and 15 minutes walk to apartment) or take an alilaguna boat from the airport to waterbus stop Guglie (50 minutes boat ride and 3 minutes walk to apartment).
