La Stalla is a superbly comfortable two bedroom apartment (with one bedroom pay half price) on the groundfloor of the main house at Col di Lavacchio. The two large bedrooms and the spacious living room are furnished with antiques and offer all the comforts of home. The compact kitchen is well equipped for culinary adventures and supplemented with a barbeque in the rose covered loggia which has a table and chairs and large day bed. The large bathroom has a vast walk in shower and is shared between the two bedrooms.
The pool is available in the summer months and is shared with the farmhouse. Relax in a hammock with a good book from the extensive library, have a game of table tennis or boules, wander through the many terraces and chestnut groves or contemplate a little peace on the hill top yoga deck. Should your passion be cooking, the kitchen is well equipped and there is seasonal organic vegetables available on site.
Local shops and restaurants are minutes away but should you wish to be delighted there is a resident chef who can prepare a candlelit dinner on the terrace especially for you. Alternatively, she can offer a riot of colour and flavour in a family pizza night.
The owners, Ailsa and Jamie Reynolds live up above and are happy to offer advice - where to shop, what to see, book restaurants and galleries and generally help you have a memorable holiday whilst respecting your privacy. A shopping service is available if you want to arrive at the house to find your fridge packed with local goodies.
